Graham Evernden
Graham Evernden was born in Kent in 1947. He graduated from Maidstone College of Art with a Bachelor of Arts (first-class honours) in 1970. He worked for several years in London as a graphic designer before becoming a freelance printmaker and illustrator.
Graham produces hand-made, limited edition linocut prints, as well as paintings. He sells through galleries in this country, Europe, America, and Australia. He has previously won Gold and Silver Awards for illustration from the Designers and Art Directors Association and a Gold Award from the New York Art Directors. In 1975, he was elected a member of the Printmakers Council and his work has been exhibited many times at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
Graham designed a range of china for The Royal Collection at St. James’ Palace, to commemorate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee. He still illustrates, but most of his time is spent painting and producing new linocuts. Evernden is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers.
